The 2017 Compass lineup achieves its best-in-class available off-road delivery through two intelligent 4x4 systems. Jeep Active Drive is a full-time 4x4 system, and Jeep Active Drive Low is a full-time 4x4 system with a 20:1 crawl ratio.
Each of these advanced systems can send the full amount of available torque to any individual wheel. Additionally, both systems include the Jeep Selec-Terrain system. This feature offers up to five modes of four-wheel-drive performance in any weather, on-road or off-road:
