Chrysler 300 Interior: What You Get in Each Trim

The Chrysler 300 ended production in December 2023 after nearly two decades as the brand's full-size sedan, so every 300 on the market is now a used car. Its cabin was its calling card: a wide, flat dash, a big center screen and some of the most comfortable seats in the class. Here is what the last generation offered inside, trim by trim, and what to look at before you buy one.

Quick answer

Every late-model Chrysler 300 (2015 to 2023) has a five-seat cabin built around an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch configurable gauge display, dual-zone climate control and a 16.3 cubic foot trunk. The base Touring used cloth seats; Touring L added leather-trimmed seats and heated fronts; the 300S had sport seats and a heated steering wheel; and the top 300C had quilted Nappa or, in 2023, Laguna leather with heated and ventilated front seats and heated outboard rear seats. Rear legroom is generous for the class, though the hard plastic front seatbacks and a low cushion are the usual complaints. The 300C of 2023, the final edition, paired that cabin with a 485-hp 6.4-liter HEMI.

Space and practicality

Front seats

Wide, flat cushions with long thigh support. Power adjustment on every trim; memory on 300C. The driving position is high for a sedan, which many buyers like.

Rear seats

Generous legroom for the class, and the floor is nearly flat. The plastic front seatbacks are hard on knees, and the low cushion encourages slouching on long trips. Heated outboard rear seats on 300C.

Trunk

16.3 cubic feet, a wide opening and a 60/40 folding rear seat. A full-size spare was optional; most cars carry a compact spare.

Tech

Uconnect 4C is the older Uconnect generation: quick to respond, wired CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM and a Wi-Fi hotspot, but the graphics look dated next to Uconnect 5 in the Pacifica.

What to check on a used 300

  1. Run every function of the 8.4-inch screen: backup camera, climate controls on the screen, CarPlay. Screens that delaminate or ghost-touch were a known issue on earlier cars.
  2. Sit in the back. If you carry adults regularly, the seatback angle and the hard front seatbacks matter more than the legroom figure.
  3. Check the leather on the driver bolster and the heated and ventilated seat functions; the ventilation fans are a common warranty item.
  4. Look for an open-recall report on the VIN. Our service department runs it at no charge.
  5. Confirm both key fobs. A single fob on a push-button-start car is an expensive fix.
  6. Decide what you want under the hood: a 3.6-liter V-6 (292 hp, available all-wheel drive) or the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 (363 hp) on 300S and 300C, plus the 485-hp 6.4-liter in the 2023 300C.

If you want something new

Chrysler has no sedan today; the brand sells the Pacifica minivan, the Voyager and the Pacifica Hybrid replacement that is coming with the redesigned 2027 Pacifica. For a large, comfortable car with a similar footprint, buyers who liked the 300 usually cross-shop the Dodge Charger sedan, which returned for 2025 with standard all-wheel drive and a twin-turbo six, or a used 300 with low miles and the HEMI. We stock both, and we can search the market for a specific 300 trim or color.
