Dodge Durango Fuse Box Guide

The 2026 Dodge Durango owner's manual lists its fuses in one place: the Power Distribution Center in the engine compartment, near the battery jump start posts. Here is where it is, how to check and replace a fuse, and which fuses cover common items like the horn, power outlets and wipers.

The short answer

The 2026 Durango's fuse box, the Power Distribution Center, is in the engine compartment near the battery jump start posts. It holds cartridge fuses, micro fuses, relays and circuit breakers, and a description of each fuse may be stamped on the inside of the cover (otherwise the cover shows cavity numbers that match the chart in the owner's manual). Turn the ignition off before replacing a fuse, and use only a fuse with the same amp rating.

Where the Dodge Durango fuse box is

Power Distribution Center

In the engine compartment near the battery jump start posts. The manual's underhood pictures for the 3.6L, 5.7L, 6.4L and 6.2L supercharged engines each label it Power Distribution Center (Fuses).

What is inside

Cartridge fuses, micro fuses, relays and circuit breakers.

Reading the cover

A description of each fuse and component may be stamped on the inside cover; otherwise the cavity number of each fuse is stamped there and matches the chart in the owner's manual.

Putting the cover back

Make sure the cover is properly positioned and fully latched. The manual cautions that otherwise water may get into the power distribution center and possibly cause an electrical system failure.

From the 2026 Dodge Durango Owner's Manual (Underhood Compartment views, pages 226 to 229; Underhood Fuses, page 244), read November 3, 2026.

How to check and replace a Durango fuse

The manual says fuses protect electrical systems against excessive current. When a device does not work, check the fuse element inside the blade fuse for a break or melt; the manual's illustration compares a good (functional) fuse element with a blown (not functional) one. Its rules for replacing one:

  • Before replacing a fuse, make sure the ignition is off and that all the other services are switched off and/or disengaged.
  • Always use a replacement fuse with the same amp rating as the original. Never use a fuse with a higher amp rating.
  • Never replace a blown fuse with metal wires or any other material, and do not place a fuse inside a circuit breaker cavity or vice versa.
  • If a properly rated fuse continues to blow, it indicates a problem in the circuit that must be corrected. If the replaced fuse blows again, contact an authorized dealer.
  • If a general protection fuse for safety systems (air bag system, braking system), power unit systems (engine system, transmission system) or the steering system blows, contact an authorized dealer.

The manual warns that failure to use proper fuses may result in serious personal injury, fire and/or property damage. It also notes that using power outlets for extended periods with the engine off may discharge the vehicle battery.
