Grand Cherokee L or two-row Grand Cherokee?
Choose the L if you need the third row. It uses the same two engines as the two-row model, and Jeep's configurator data lists it in six trims, Laredo through Summit, at $2,000 more than each matching two-row trim and drive. The two-row Grand Cherokee seats five, with 37.7 cubic feet behind its second row; the L has 17.2 cubic feet behind its third row and up to 84.6 in all. The configurator lists the Trailhawk only as a two-row model.

Grand Cherokee L seats and cargo space
Jeep lists the Grand Cherokee L with seating for up to seven: six with second-row captain's chairs, or seven with the available second-row bench. The second-row seats fold and slide forward to get into the third row, and a power-folding third-row bench is available.
Behind the third row there is 17.2 cubic feet of cargo space, and up to 84.6 cubic feet of cargo room in all, according to Jeep. In the two-row Grand Cherokee the figures are 37.7 cubic feet behind the second row and 70.8 cubic feet with it folded.
Jeep lists a USB-A and a USB-C port for each row, and its 2026 release says the Laredo Altitude and above get the third-row USB chargers. Quad-zone automatic climate control and the FamCam interior camera, which shows the back rows on the Uconnect touchscreen, are available. Jeep's 2026 release says the L has best-in-class second-row legroom, more passenger volume than any vehicle in its class and more cargo room behind the third row than competing SUVs.

Laredo
3.6L V6. For 2027 Jeep lists a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a new 18-inch wheel design for the Laredo. Active Lane Management, Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection, rear park assist and automatic emergency braking are standard from the Laredo up, according to Jeep.
Laredo X
3.6L V6 with heated seats, a heated steering wheel, a sunroof, a power liftgate and a wireless charging pad, plus the 10.1-inch touchscreen.
Laredo Altitude
324-hp Hurricane 4 Turbo, a 12.3-inch Uconnect touchscreen, premium audio and, on 4x4 models, the Selec-Terrain traction system; adds Traffic Sign Recognition and Intersection Collision Assist.
Limited
Hurricane 4 Turbo with leatherette seats, heated second-row seats, nine-speaker Alpine audio, ambient lighting and Silver Silk exterior accents. New for 2027: a 20-inch wheel design, a wireless charging pad and rain-sensing wipers.
Limited Reserve
Listed as 4x4 only in the configurator. Nappa leather seats and door trim, ventilated front seats, a dual-pane sunroof, 20-inch black wheels, an integrated off-road camera and a digital rearview mirror; auto-folding power mirrors for 2027.
Summit
Listed as 4x4 only in the configurator. Palermo leather, massaging front seats, a suede headliner, Oak and Liquid Chrome trim, a 19-speaker McIntosh sound system and Quadra-Trac II 4x4 with air suspension.
