What makes a Rebel a Rebel?
Every Rebel is a Crew Cab 4x4 with the 5-foot-7 box, and Ram's Off-Road Group is standard: an electronic-locking rear differential on a 3.92 axle, a raised ride height, heavy-duty Bilstein shocks, skid plates for the fuel tank, transfer case and steering gear, tow hooks, Selec-Speed Control and a full-size spare. It also gets an on-demand 4WD transfer case, 33-inch all-terrain tires and a 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen as standard.

Rebel packages and options
Rebel Level 1 Equipment Group
Power-folding mirrors with signal and puddle lamps, power-adjustable pedals, rear defroster, power tailgate release, security alarm and a wireless charging pad. Ram's 2027 release says the 360-degree surround-view camera is now optional with this group.
Rebel Level 2 Equipment Group
Adds the 14.5-in. Uconnect touchscreen and 10.25-in. passenger display, a power open/close tailgate, remote start, keyless entry, rain-sensing wipers, heated rear seats, an 8-way power passenger seat and 115-volt rear outlets.
GT Equipment Group
G/T decals, bucket seats with a floor console, a performance steering wheel with aluminum paddle shifters, a performance floor shifter, metal pedals, performance screens and a passive cold-end exhaust.
Stand-alone options
Four-corner Active-Level air suspension, a dual-pane power sunroof, the 5.7L HEMI V8, and Ram's Trailer-tow and Towing Technology groups.

What engine does the Ram Rebel have?
The standard engine is the 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six (Standard Output) with 420 hp and 469 lb-ft. A 5.7L HEMI V8 with 395 hp and 410 lb-ft is available; Ram lists it as an eTorque mild hybrid, and some 2027 trucks have the non-eTorque version at the same output. Both engines use an eight-speed automatic.
Can you get a Ram Rebel with a HEMI?
Yes. Ram lists the 5.7L HEMI V8 as an option on the 2027 Rebel (395 hp, 410 lb-ft). The HEMI returned to the Ram 1500 lineup for 2026.
How much can a Ram 1500 Rebel tow?
Ram's 2027 Rebel spec page lists 11,140 lbs of towing and 1,600 lbs of payload for the Hurricane six with the standard 3.92 axle. Ratings change with engine and options, so check the figures for a specific truck.
What tires come on the Rebel?
LT275/70R18 load-range E all-terrain tires (33-inch) on 18-inch black aluminum wheels, with a full-size spare.
Does the Ram Rebel have a locking rear differential?
Yes. An electronic-locking rear differential with a 3.92 axle ratio is standard, as part of Ram's Off-Road Group, along with skid plates, tow hooks and Selec-Speed Control.
Ram Rebel or Warlock?
The Warlock starts about $12,400 lower with a 305-hp V6 eTorque, an 8.4-inch screen and a part-time 4WD case. The Rebel adds the 420-hp Hurricane six as standard, a 12-inch screen, an on-demand 4WD case and the option of air suspension. Both get Bilstein shocks, a 1-inch lift and 33-inch tires.
Ram Rebel or RHO?
The RHO costs about $9,150 more and makes 540 hp, with Bilstein e2 Blackhawk active shocks, a full-time 4WD case and a Dana 60 rear axle. The Rebel keeps the lower price, offers the HEMI V8 and air suspension, and tows more: 11,140 lbs on Ram's Rebel spec page vs. 8,370 lbs for the RHO in Ram's towing charts.
