Dodge Charger Fuse Box Guide
The 2026 Dodge Charger owner's manual lists two fuse boxes: the Front Power Distribution Center under the hood and a Rear Power Distribution Center in the trunk, under the spare tire access panel. Here is where they are, how to check and replace a fuse, and which fuses cover common items like the horn, wipers, defrosters and heated seats.

The short answer
The 2026 Charger's Front Power Distribution Center is in the underhood compartment, and a second power distribution center is in the trunk under the spare tire access panel. Both hold fuses and relays, and fuse cavity locations and descriptions are printed on the inside of each cover. Make sure the Start button is off before replacing a fuse, and use only a fuse with the same amp rating.
Where the Dodge Charger fuse boxes are
Front Power Distribution Center
In the underhood compartment. It contains fuses and relays, and fuse cavity locations and descriptions are printed on the inside of the cover.
Rear Power Distribution Center
In the trunk, under the spare tire access panel. It also contains fuses and relays, with cavity locations and descriptions printed on the inside of its cover.
Putting a cover back
Make sure the cover is properly positioned and fully latched. The manual cautions that otherwise water may get into the power distribution center and possibly cause an electrical system failure.
Gas and electric models
The 2026 Charger chart covers both. Some cavities are marked (BEV) for battery electric models, (GAS) for gas models, or If Equipped.
From the 2026 Dodge Charger Owner's Manual (Underhood Fuses, page 249; Rear Interior Fuses, page 256; fuse charts, pages 250 to 264), read November 3, 2026.
How to check and replace a Charger fuse
The manual says fuses protect electrical systems against excessive current. When a device does not work, check the fuse element inside the blade fuse for a break or melt; the manual's illustration compares a good (functional) fuse element with a blown (not functional) one. Its rules for replacing one:
- Before replacing a fuse, make sure the Start button is off and that all the other services are switched off and/or disengaged.
- Always use a replacement fuse with the same amp rating as the original. Never replace a fuse with another fuse of higher amp rating.
- Never replace a blown fuse with metal wires or any other material, and do not place a fuse inside a circuit breaker cavity or vice versa.
- If the replaced fuse blows again, contact an authorized dealer.
- If a general protection fuse for safety systems (air bag system, braking system), power unit systems (propulsion system, transmission system), the steering system or the Body Control Module (BCM) blows, contact an authorized dealer.
The manual warns that failure to use proper fuses may result in serious personal injury, fire and/or property damage. It also notes that using power outlets for extended periods with the Start button in the ON/RUN position may discharge the vehicle battery.
