Trailhawk or Limited?
Both use the same engine and come with 4x4. The Limited is the premium step in the lineup; the Trailhawk adds the off-road hardware: Jeep Active Drive Low, a 4.398 final drive, 215/65R17 Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires, 8.6 inches of ground clearance and a 30.4-degree approach angle (16.1 degrees on other Compass models). In Jeep's 2027 configurator data the Trailhawk lists at $34,650 MSRP, $500 more than the Limited.

New on the 2027 Compass Trailhawk
Jeep's What's New for 2027 release lists standard adaptive cruise control across the Compass lineup, and a standard wireless charging pad and second-row USB ports on the Limited, Limited Altitude and Trailhawk.
Two new options for those trims: a Premium Lighting Group with LED headlights, taillights and fog lights, and a Driver Assist Package with a 360-degree camera and a universal garage door opener. New colors include Ghost, Copper Shino, '41 and Goldilocks, all with late availability.
