Three choices shape a Ram 1500: the engine (the Pentastar V6 for price and fuel economy, the twin-turbo Hurricane I6 for towing, the HEMI V8 if you want a V8), the cab and bed (Quad Cab 6'4", Crew Cab 5'7" or Crew Cab 6'4"), and the trim, which also sets the standard engine. Looking at a 2026? The 2026 HEMI was offered only as an eTorque mild hybrid, there was no Rumble Bee, and the 2026 Hurricane SO is rated about 1 mpg better than the 2027. Engines and cabs are otherwise the same.
