HEMI or Cummins Power Wagon?
The off-road hardware is the same: Ram's order release says the Cummins truck keeps the disconnecting front sway bar, front and rear electronic lockers, Bilstein shocks, skid plates and rock rails of the HEMI Power Wagon. The Cummins HO adds 1,075 lb-ft of torque and Ram quotes up to 19,630 lbs of towing and 2,930 lbs of payload, starting at $89,560 MSRP including destination. Ram's configurator data lists the Power Wagon from $74,435 MSRP before destination.

Electronic lockers
Electronic locking front and rear axles (ELocker), with a passive mechanical anti-slip rear differential.
Sway bar disconnect
An electronic disconnecting front sway bar, which Ram calls segment-exclusive, for more front-axle articulation on the trail.
Solid axles
Solid front and rear axles, 9.25 inches front and 11.5 inches rear, with 38mm rear axle shafts.
Bilstein shocks
Bilstein monotube shock absorbers are standard.
Armor
Underbody skid plates for the fuel tank, transfer case and (on the diesel) the DEF tank, plus Mopar rock rails; the Cummins truck also has powder-coated steel bumpers.
Tires and descent
34-inch all-terrain tires and Hill Descent Control are standard.

New for the 2027 Ram 2500 Power Wagon
The big change is the engine choice: What's New for 2027: Ram Heavy Duty says the Power Wagon is available for the first time with the 6.7L Cummins High Output turbo diesel, and that the HEMI V8 Power Wagon reintroduces an optional beadlock-capable wheel.
A sport performance hood is now a standalone option on the Power Wagon, and a Warn electric winch is now a standalone option on HEMI V8 Power Wagons without requiring the Level 1 Equipment Group. Ram says the Cummins Power Wagon comes standard with the sport-performance hood and functional wheel arch extensions, and can be ordered with fifth wheel and gooseneck preparation for the first time.

Bristol leather-trim seats, power-adjustable controls with memory, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system with subwoofer and heated power convex trailer tow mirrors.
Level 2 Equipment Group
Natura Plus leather-trim seats, a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 10.25-inch passenger display, 17-speaker Harman Kardon audio, a cargo-view camera, spray-in bedliner and deployable bed step.
Towing Technology Group
